MAINE COON

Maine Coons are known for their water-resistant coats and generally have a stronger affinity for water than most other cats. They are one of the largest domestic cat breeds, with fully grown adults weighing between 19 and 30 lbs (8.6 to 13.6 kg) and measuring over three feet long. Despite their imposing size, Maine Coons are known for their friendly and sociable nature. While they enjoy being around their owners, they aren’t typically “lap cats” and tend to prefer staying nearby rather than seeking constant attention. When choosing food for a Maine Coon, look for high-quality animal proteins like chicken or salmon as the first ingredient. Avoid foods with fillers and by-products, as they offer little nutritional benefit. Maine Coons also require a diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids to maintain healthy skin and coat.
